Family Promise Tzedakah Boxes Due March 1!

Houses for Change

Our students are helping homeless families in our community.   The money they and you save in the Houses for Change tzedakah boxes they created will become a communal donation from our students to Family Promise of South Palm Beach County.

Every Shabbat and on other days, please have your children put change into their Houses for Change box. Please bring the money saved to Temple Sinai, or a check for that amount made out to Family Promise, when the boxes are returned to class on Sunday March 1. Donations in the form of a check are tax-deductible. Your child will keep the tzedakah box to reuse and refill.


Houses for Change is more than a fun arts and crafts project. It is a national campaign for students to learn about homelessness and realize that they can make a difference. To learn more, visit and

Weekend Activities for Feb 13-15 at TS!

Join us Friday, 2/13 at 7:30 pm for our Family Service featuring grades 4 & 5 (Morah Jo’s class). Our students will be on the bima for several prayers and readings, plus families will be joining us for several aliyahs! Will you be one of them?

Isaac Zacharia becomes a bar mitzvah on Saturday, 2/14 at 10 am. Service is open to everyone! He is collecting used video games and consoles to Please bring them with you this Saturday if you are attending, or anytime during the month of February to Temple Sinai Religious School.

No religious school on Sunday, 2/15, but it’s time to make the hamantaschen at 12 noon in the TS kitchen supervised by school and sisterhood staff. Jnr/Snr Youth Group is baking – it’s a ton of fun! Come eat the “broken” ones, they have ZERO calories!
